Encounters of the Angelic Kind – My Business Manager, Rocky Trainer, has many responsibilities, from booking my TV, major media, and public events to traveling with me during spirit communication tours. She has accompanied me on many adventures, from paranormal investigations to examining archaeological sites—she’s even had a near-death experience. But her spiritual journey began when she was a toddler.
Rocky, whose name is Roxanne, was named after her grandfather Rocco. He was from Italy and came to America as a young man in search of a better life. He spoke English fluently but with a distinct Italian accent. Rocco was suave, funny, spiritual, and a devout Catholic. He loved spending time with his eldest grandchild, Rocky. One Sunday, he took three-year-old Rocky to church. Holy Communion is the most sacred part of the Catholic Mass. The original Communion Ceremony was conducted by Jesus during a Passover celebration, where Jesus shared bread and wine with his Apostles. Christians refer to that event as “The Last Supper.”
Two thousand years later, in New Jersey, Rocco and Rocky sat in a pew at the back of a packed Catholic Church. Rocco held his little granddaughter in his arms so she could see what was happening. As part of the consecration of the bread and wine during the Holy Communion ceremony, the priest raises the communion wafer and chalice of wine above his head.

Suddenly, Rocky gasped. Around the priest, she saw beautiful young women appear. They were clad in translucent aqua green dresses. Filled with joy, these shimmering young women danced elegantly around the priest and then leapt into the air and vanished.
“Did you see them?” Rocky asked excitedly.
Rocco gently shushed her, but after the service, he asked Rocky, “What did you see?” “I saw ladies in green dresses dancing!” Rocky then explained in detail everything she saw.
Rocco listened intently, then said, “You saw angels—you are still able to see angels.”
Since ancient times, countless people have claimed they have encountered angels. If you celebrate either Passover or Easter, both of which fall in April this year, chances are you believe in angels. But you’re not alone. According to a 2023 poll conducted by NORC (National Opinion Research Center) at the University of Chicago, 70% of adults in the U.S. believe in angels. In fact, every major belief system worldwide has angels in some form, including Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Native American Spirituality.
The term “angel” comes from the Greek word “angelos,” which means messenger. There are thousands of books about these spiritual beings, but the general consensus is that angels are not human spirits. Angels have never existed in corporeal form, meaning they were never human. It is believed that angels provide spiritual guidance for humans and can act as messengers of the Divine Power we call God. Angels are not here to control us but to help guide us in a positive direction, hence the term “Guardian Angel.”
As a medium, I’m honored to be able to perceive spirits. Human spirits look like people. Angels are humanoid in that they look similar to people; some look more male, and others appear more female. As I perceive them, angels emanate light, appearing very bright. Sometimes they are so luminescent that all I can see is their radiance. I don’t believe angels have wings, but the way light emanates from their shoulder area, these projections of light could be interpreted as wings. This may explain why, for millennia, artists have depicted angels as having wings.
Rocky, a woman of many talents, has always loved the art of dance. As a child, she took ballet lessons, and as a young woman, she attended the Martha Graham School of Contemporary Dance in New York City.

Decades later, Rocky became the Liturgical Dance Choreographer for her Catholic Church. Liturgical Dance is where young girls dance to reflect scriptural themes during the Catholic Mass (church service). Her troupe of girls ranged in age from grammar school to high school.
During the first session with her dancers, Rocky read Psalm 118:24, “Give us this day the lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad.” Then she asked the girls, “Now—how do you say that to God without using words, but only using your bodies?”
Immediately, she saw the light of understanding appear on their faces. Creativity flowed through the girls as they danced with grace and elegance. Suddenly, the memory of what happened when Rocky was a toddler with her grandfather filled her mind.
She felt the angelic connection. For Rocky, it felt as if the spiritual angels transmitted grace to these little girls and guided her to create the choreography.
Rocky and her Liturgical Dancers became a highlight of Sunday Mass. Through the church community, Rocky became friends with Agnes and her daughter Bev. Agnes was an elderly retired woman who admired Rocky’s ministry as Liturgical Dance Choreographer. Agnes regularly came to church just to watch the girls’ rehearsals.
Then Agnes stopped coming. Her daughter, Bev, told Rocky that Agnes was very ill and required round-the-clock care. Agnes was dying of cancer and only had a few days to live. Rocky visited her friend Agnes and volunteered to sit with her so that Bev could run some errands.

Rocky sat next to Agnes’ bed and held her hand. While they were alone, Agnes confided, “I know they’re giving me drugs, but I know this isn’t drug-induced. Every once in a while, I see these girls—they look like angels who are in these green translucent dresses. They only come around once in a while—and they walk with my son, who was a soldier who died in combat—and they’re here with us now.”
Rocky was overwhelmed, realizing that Agnes’ description of these angelic women matched what she had seen as a toddler. At that moment, Bev returned. “They’re gone,” Agnes whispered to Rocky.
Other family members began to arrive, and Rocky excused herself, knowing the family needed their privacy. Agnes died later that night.
A few days later, Rocky visited Agnes’ family to pay her respects. Bev told Rocky, “In my mother’s last moments, she looked up and smiled—there was such a happy smile on her face.”
“What did you see?” Rocky asked.
“We can’t explain it—but something happened.”
Rocky knew the angels came with Agnes’s son to escort her soul from this world into the Shining Light of Eternity.
