The Beauty in the Shaky Seasons: Embracing Change with Grace & Grit – We’ve all heard it—change is the only constant. And as women entrepreneurs, this saying feels especially true. The journey of entrepreneurship has a way of throwing every kind of curveball. It’s always exciting, albeit often stressful.

But if so many of us chose this path to experience more joy, more ease, and more autonomy over our lives, how do we learn to let go in the face of constant change and transition?

It’s a question we ask ourselves all the time, and one we’re asking you this month.

Believe Everything is Happening Best-Case-Scenario

When you choose the path of unpredictability (aka entrepreneurship), it can feel like so much is out of your control. And often when you feel like you have your bearings in your business, something in your personal life shifts (oh, the cruel irony), requiring you to adapt in new ways still. So when the ground beneath your feet is feeling extra shaky, we’ve felt it powerful to hold the belief that everything—even the shaky moments—is happening “best-case-scenario.” That the challenging moments make up the very concrete that paves the way toward the dreams we’re building, every high point and low point is full of purpose, and it couldn’t happen any other way. So when the challenges come, we have the emotional capacity to face them with a laugh and go, “Alright, this is happening for me; let’s roll with it.”

Accept the Hard Moments and Make Room for the Emotional Load They Bring

That being said, sometimes life knocks you down, and your capacity to take on challenges with positivity and a laugh shrinks. In these seasons, it’s important to accept that sometimes change is just hard and that you are worthy of feeling the full spectrum of your emotions when it is. Feeling is healing, and giving yourself that space and grace to do so can make all the difference. So when you’re feeling extra tender, block out some time on your calendar, make yourself a nourishing meal or cozy beverage, light a candle, and let all that’s swirling about within you finally surface.

Lean on Supportive Community

And when those feelings feel overwhelming? Don’t forget to lean on your community. We live in a culture that praises individuality, grit, and overcoming challenges alone, but at EM/POWEREDbyWMN, we know that community is where the power lies. It’s when we go to our people for support that we cultivate the hope and stamina necessary to continue on our path.

If you’re looking for a community that understands the unique challenges of being a woman and an entrepreneur and offers supportive spaces to empower you with amazing workshops and true connection, consider this your personal invitation to join EM/POWEREDbyWMN. The entrepreneurial life takes a village, and if you don’t have one yet, you may have just found yours.

So, whether you find yourself in a steady season or in a period that feels extra shaky, we hope you’ll remember that no matter what…

Everything is happening for you. All of your emotions are so valid and worthy of being felt. And you do not need to walk this path alone.

We asked some of the women from the EM/POWEREDbyWMN community, “As you navigate personal or professional transitions, what has been the most helpful practice in allowing you to let go with grace and ease?” This is what they said…

As someone who loves a good pivot moment, both personally and professionally, I find it very easy to get lost in the fray. However, by focusing on the constants in each scenario, it keeps you grounded and on the right path. Transitioning from Salon Owner and Hairstylist to Web Designer and Brand Creator, the things that kept me from drowning in the overwhelm were family and my “why.” My family grounds me and keeps me focused on the end goal, and my “why” for the transition was to be able to travel while working remotely and helping businesses transform their online presence.

Another powerful lesson I’ve learned through each pivot is the importance of letting go. Letting go of identities, routines, the “shoulds,” and even relationships that no longer align isn’t a loss—it’s an act of self-trust. It takes courage to loosen your grip on the familiar and lean into the unknown. But when you release with intention, you make room for clarity, alignment, and growth. Letting go isn’t about giving up; it’s about choosing peace and purpose over pressure and perfection. And that shift makes all the difference and has grown my business more than micromanaging everything would have.

Being honest with myself about what’s no longer aligned has been one of the most important practices during transitions, both personally and professionally. It’s not always easy to admit when something no longer fits, especially when you’ve invested time, energy, money, or emotions into it. However, I have learned that holding on out of guilt or fear only creates more resistance.

Once I got clear on what I truly wanted without trying to meet others’ expectations, it became easier to release what was weighing me down. That clarity gave me permission to choose myself and trust the direction I felt called to take.

Journaling helped me process what I was feeling, but what really supported me was a technique called Mental and Emotional Release. It’s rooted in hypnosis and allows you to clear emotional baggage stored in the subconscious. Through this process, I was able to fully feel and let go of stuck emotions like fear, guilt, and doubt without judgment.

Letting go stopped feeling like a dramatic ending and started to feel more like choosing peace. This practice created space for new ideas, deeper confidence, and more alignment in how I show up in my life and work.

Spaciousness is key for me to let go. When I give myself time to be quiet and present, it helps me release whatever has been weighing on my mind. If I’m not actively painting, I look for other ways to invite stillness into my routine. Acupuncture, massage, meditation, and float tank sessions are some of my favorite practices. They create a powerful pause that helps me reset, and by adding them to my monthly routine, they have held me accountable to maintain the practice.

These moments of intentional stillness are where I reconnect with myself. They help me return to my life and work with more clarity, patience, and compassion. Whether I’m navigating change or just moving through a busy season, these practices remind me that most things are out of my control. And I need to give myself the space to breathe and listen to release whatever is coming up for me.

Letting go with ease, for me, isn’t about detachment. It’s about staying grounded and choosing to show up fully for myself and take time to reflect.

As I navigate both personal & professional transitions, one of the most helpful practices in allowing me to let go with grace & ease has been grounding myself in self-trust. So much of the entrepreneurial path is uncertain, but when I can quiet the noise & listen inward, I’m reminded that I already have the answers. I’ve also developed an awareness of where my attachment is coming from—am I reacting from fear, scarcity, or pure emotion? Or am I looking at the situation with grounded objectivity? That awareness alone has shifted everything.

I also strive to pursue energetic alignment in every decision. If something feels heavy or out of sync, I no longer force it. I pause, reassess, & let myself move from alignment instead of obligation. I’ve learned that how something feels is just as important as how it functions.

And at the core of it all, I lean on the support of my family and our community. They hold space for the tender moments, remind me of my strength, & give me permission to feel fully. Letting go isn’t about surrendering power—it’s about releasing what no longer serves, trusting the process, & allowing yourself to be supported along the way.
