Berry Nourished Smoothie
Gluten-Free, Vegan, Serves 2
- 1 ripe avocado, cubed
- 1 cup fresh spinach leaves
- 1 cup frozen blueberries
- 1 ripe banana
- 1 tablespoon flaxseeds
- 1 tablespoon hemp seeds
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1-2 teaspoons maca powder
- 1 1/2 cups unsweetened almond milk
- 1 tablespoon agave nectar
- Ice cubes
Directions:
Ensure all ingredients are washed and prepared as needed. Combine the avocado, spinach, blueberries, banana, flaxseeds, hemp seeds, chia seeds, maca powder, almond milk, and agave nectar in a blender. Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and creamy. Add a few ice cubes and blend again until well incorporated. If the smoothie is too thick, add more almond milk, a little at a time, until you reach your desired consistency. Taste the smoothie and adjust the sweetness by adding more maple syrup or agave nectar if desired. Pour the smoothie into glasses and serve immediately. You can garnish with additional blueberries or hemp seeds if desired.
