Blood Orange Adrenal Cocktail

Blood Orange Adrenal Cocktail – Gluten-Free, Vegan, Serves 2

  • 2 blood oranges, freshly squeezed
  • 1 lemon, freshly squeezed
  • 1/2 inch fresh ginger, peeled and grated
  • 1 tablespoon raw honey or maple syrup
  • 1/2 teaspoon ashwagandha powder
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint leaves, for garnish

Directions:

In a pitcher or mixing bowl, combine the freshly squeezed blood orange juice and lemon juice. Add the freshly grated ginger to the juice mixture. Ginger adds a zesty kick and additional health benefits. If using, add the ashwagandha powder to the juice mixture. Ashwagandha is an adaptogenic herb that may help support adrenal health. Sweeten the cocktail with raw honey or maple syrup to your desired level of sweetness.

Start with 1 tablespoon and adjust to taste. Stir the mixture well to combine the flavors and dissolve the sweetener. Fill two glasses with ice cubes. Pour the blood orange adrenal cocktail mixture evenly into the glasses. Garnish each glass with fresh mint leaves for an aromatic and refreshing touch. Serve immediately and enjoy your revitalizing Blood Orange Adrenal Cocktail! You can dust the top of the cake with a sprinkle of cocoa powder or drizzle with extra honey syrup if desired. Arrange the Baked Sweet Potato Falafel on top of the salad. Drizzle the Lemon Tahini Dressing over the salad and falafel.l for at least 2 hours. Once chilled, use the parchment paper overhang to lift the lemon custard bars out of the pan. Place them on a cutting board and slice into squares.
