
It can attack when you least expect it while working out at the gym or just going about business at home. There is no discrimination between men or women, big or small. It can take down the strongest of us all. By the time the realization sets in, the crippling pain has us on the floor. The monster I’m talking about is a low back muscle strain. Around 80% of adults have experienced low back pain during their lifetime according to the American Chiropractic Association. The most common cause of lower back pain is a strain or sprain of the lumbar muscles. Several years ago I was pushing my deadlift and just had to do that one last extra set because I was feeling strong. Once I was able to get off the ground with help from my friend I remember shuffling out of the gym. I understand the cause of that episode.
