One of my favorite benefits that come with eating seasonal foods is that it is great for your health. Keep reading to find out how to save green every season!
Saving money made easy
There is a season for everything and now you can save money in every season. Have you ever noticed that certain times of the year different foods go on sale? In most cases, this is due to the high saturation of that certain food being brought in. For example, spring is officially here which means strawberries and asparagus are going to be on sale! I absolutely love strawberries and asparagus which is why I keep an eye out for the prices to drop. A good rule of thumb is to check out your local produce isles regularly and see what they are pushing. For those of you who are as lucky as I am, stop by your local farmers market and make friends with your favorite vendors. They will always give you a heads up of what is coming in and even set some aside if you ask nicely.
