There are tons of amazing benefits that come from eating asparagus and we will even give you a tasty way to add it to your menu.

Do you have your beach body Yet? Let’s be honest this is normally that time of the year when we realize we may have overdone it over the holidays. With summer breathing down our necks it is time to put on our game face and get to work dropping those pesky holiday pounds. You are in luck, Mother Nature is on your side, which is why there are so many metabolism increasing foods that are at their peak this time of year. You are not alone in wanting to tighten things up a bit. Asparagus has tons of nutrients to help you do just that! Power Packed Asparagus!

Asparagus is great for weight loss for a number of reasons. One of the reasons is due to its high fiber content. It is also a natural diuretic and contains inulin which aids in digestion by increasing good bacterial flora. Asparagus is great for regulating blood sugar levels and contains saponins such as diosgenin which helps improve blood pressure. It helps to detox the body and increase energy levels due to its high concentration of B-complex vitamins.

Asparagus also helps increase the production of red blood cells and the vitamin K content helps promote heart and bone health. But wait there’s more. Asparagus is high in anti-inflammatories and antioxidants and contains glutathione which detoxifies and fights carcinogens. Asparagus is definitely a vegetable that should make it on your plate this season!
